How we verify
The method
- Read the amounts from Roamless’s own refer-a-friend page and support articles — never from a coupon site or a referral aggregator.
- Record the date and quote the sentence relied on.
- Publish the date alongside the number.
- When something cannot be confirmed, leave it unstated rather than estimating.
That last rule is the one that matters. It is easy to publish a plausible number; the whole value of this page is that we do not.
What we have verified

| 30 days from signup to purchase | Roamless support documentation | 2026-09-05 |
| No upper limit on referrals | Roamless support documentation | 2026-09-05 |
| Referral rewards do not expire | Roamless support documentation | 2026-09-05 |
| Referral and promo codes cannot be combined | Roamless support documentation | 2026-09-05 |
| A code cannot be re-entered on the same device | Roamless support documentation | 2026-09-05 |
What we have NOT verified
Stated plainly, because a gap you are not told about is worse than a gap you are:
- No payment has been completed. We built two real orders to the payment step with the code applied and screenshotted the result, but did not submit either. So the application of the referral is verified; the arrival of the US$5 in an account after payment is not.
- We publish no per-country data rates. Roamless prices data per destination and those rates move; a table here would be wrong for most readers on most days. Check your destination in the app.
- Roamless contradicts itself on expiry. Its support pages say credits never expire; its Terms and Conditions say credits become inactive after 12 months and may be cancelled. We publish both rather than choosing the flattering one.
- US$5 is in US dollars. What it converts to in Canadian dollars depends on the rate on the day, and we do not publish a converted figure that would be stale immediately.
Verification log
| Date | What we checked | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-09-05 | Live checkout test. Built two real Roamless orders (a US$20 credit top-up and a 10 GB Canada 30-day plan) with the referral code applied, and screenshotted both. Not submitted. | The code goes in the “Promo code” field — Roamless uses one field for both promo and referral codes. A “$5.00 Roamless Credit — REFERRAL — Free” line appears above the total and the $0.35 service fee is struck out, so the reward is confirmable before paying. It applies to fixed data plans as well as credit. This contradicted our own pages, which said the code never goes in a web checkout; corrected the same day. Screenshots on code not working. |
| 2026-09-05 | Pre-publication review of our own draft against Roamless’s documentation. | Five corrections, none published. (1) We said a code is entered under “Get Free Credits” — that is where a referrer finds their OWN code to share. (2) We said Roamless sells no fixed plans — it sells 30-day data plans for every destination. (3) Our terms page rendered the amount as “US” with the figure missing. (4) We said a promo and a referral force a permanent choice — the real rule is not-on-the-same-purchase, and both can be taken in sequence. (5) We repeated Roamless’s “credit never expires” without its Terms, which allow cancellation after 12 months of inactivity. All corrected before launch. |
| 2026-09-05 | Full programme rules against Roamless’s refer-a-friend page and support documentation, before publishing these pages. | US$5 each side, US$5 minimum first purchase, 30-day window, no cap, rewards do not expire, no combining with promo codes, one code per device. Nothing contradicted. No payment test run — recorded above as an open gap. |
New rows are added after each check. We do not log checks we have not run.
Frequently asked questions
How often do you check?
Monthly, and same-day whenever Roamless changes something we have published. Every check is added to the log on this page, including checks that found nothing changed.
What sources do you use?
Roamless's own refer-a-friend page and its support documentation. We do not take amounts from coupon sites or referral aggregators — those routinely publish expired offers as live, which is the problem this site exists to correct.
Have you tested the code yourself?
The programme rules are verified against Roamless's documentation. A full end-to-end payment test is noted in the log when one has been run — and its absence is noted when it has not.
