Roamless referral code: US$5 for you, US$5 for them

Roamless is a pay-as-you-go travel eSIM — you buy credit, it is drawn down per gigabyte at a rate that depends on the country you are in. It also sells fixed 30-day data plans. Its referral programme pays US$5 to each side, with no cap on how many people you refer.

The code goes in the “Promo code” box — Roamless uses one field for promo codes and referral codes alike. When it takes, the summary shows a REFERRAL line crediting US$5 and waives the $0.35 service fee, so you can confirm it before paying rather than hoping.

  1. Open the link, or copy the code The link above carries the code for you. If you would rather type it, paste YAQOOBDTY into the “Promo code” box — the same field promo codes use. There is one box for both.
  2. Install Roamless and create an account Roamless is app-first. Download it, sign up, and let it check that your phone supports eSIM before you pay for anything.
  3. Check the REFERRAL line before you pay You do not have to guess whether it worked. Once the code is accepted, the purchase summary shows a “$5.00 Roamless Credit — REFERRAL — Free” line above the total, and the $0.35 service fee is struck out. If that line is missing, the code did not apply. (“Get Free Credits” is where you find your own code to share — not where you enter someone else’s.)
  4. Make a first purchase of US$5 or more within 30 days The reward only triggers once your friend buys at least US$5 of pay-as-you-go credit or a data plan, and it must happen within 30 days of signing up. Then you each get US$5.

What the credit is actually worth

US$5 is a small number, so here is the honest framing: on Roamless it buys somewhere between a fraction of a gigabyte and several gigabytes, entirely depending on where you are. Roamless prices every country separately, so a rate that is generous in one place is poor in another. We deliberately do not publish a rate table — it would be out of date for most readers on most days. How we check.

What makes the programme unusual is not the amount. It is that there is no cap on referrals, and no expiry date on the credit — though Roamless’s Terms do let it cancel credits after 12 months of inactivity, which its marketing does not mention. We publish both because they are both true.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the Roamless referral bonus?

US$5 for each of you. Roamless credits the person who was referred and the person who referred them the same amount, once the new account makes a qualifying first purchase. There is no upper limit on how many people you can refer.

Is there a catch?

Two, and both are easy to trip over. The friend must spend at least US$5, and they must do it within 30 days of signing up. Miss either and neither side gets anything.

Can I use a referral code and a promo code together?

No. Roamless makes you pick one at checkout — they cannot be combined. Compare the two before you pay: a percentage-off promo on a large top-up can be worth more than US$5, and a referral code is worth more on a small one.

Where does the code actually go?

Into the “Promo code” box at checkout — Roamless uses a single field for both promo and referral codes, so there is no separate referral box to hunt for. We have screenshotted it applying. Note that “Get Free Credits” is where you find your own code to share, which is a different screen.

Does the credit expire?

Roamless's own documents disagree, so here is both. Its support pages say pay-as-you-go credits never expire. Its Terms and Conditions say credits become inactive after 12 months of inactivity and may then be cancelled at Roamless's discretion. Separately, promotional credits — not referral credit — expire in 30 to 180 days depending on the code. The safe reading: there is no expiry date, but do not leave an account untouched for a year.

Is this the same as a Canadian carrier referral?

No, and it is worth being clear about it. Roamless is a travel eSIM you use outside Canada, so it sits alongside your normal plan rather than replacing it. For referral programmes at Canadian carriers, see our comparison of all eight.

Is this site affiliated with Roamless?

No. This is an independent guide. If you use the code on this page, the account holder behind this site receives US$5 in Roamless credit — and so do you. We are not paid to say anything, and every amount here is checked against Roamless's own pages and dated.
